Mayfly | Stonefly | Caddisfly | Bronze
This trio of bronze sculptures – a mayfly, a stonefly nymph, and a caddisfly – was commissioned by the town of Vail, Colorado, to celebrate decades of dedicated effort to improve the water quality of Gore Creek. Each insect is meticulously rendered in bronze, highlighting their delicate forms and their importance as indicator species for a healthy aquatic ecosystem. Placed along the nature trail, these sculptures serve as both art and a testament to the community's commitment to environmental stewardship. The enduring nature of bronze reflects the lasting impact of this conservation work.
